LV jointing for planned works and repairs
LV works still demand standards similar to HV: correct preparation, controlled build-up, and proper reinstatement. We support programme delivery work as well as urgent repairs once access is available and site controls are in place.

- Coordination with civils, traffic management and project teams
- Handover support where required
Where LV work fits alongside HV
Many projects include LV enabling works alongside 11kV and 33kV activities. Using one contractor for LV and HV scope can reduce delays, simplify coordination and keep standards consistent across the job.

LV cable jointing FAQs
What areas do you cover?
We’re based in the South East but provide services across the UK and are happy to travel further for larger projects. Just get in touch to discuss your location.
What voltages can you work with?
LV, 11kV & 33kV
What types of cable do you joint and install?
PILC, XLPE, Waveform and other common LV/HV cable types. If you’re unsure, just ask – we’ve likely worked with it before.
Can you handle full substation installations?
Absolutely. We take care of everything from landing, earthing & fit-out to testing, commissioning, DNO audit attendance & taking control of the LV network on behalf of the iDNO on connection day.
What’s the difference between a jointer and an SAP?
A jointer physically installs and connects cables, while an SAP (Senior Authorised Person) is responsible for issuing permits and ensuring the system is safe to work on. We provide both services in-house.
Can you supply materials or do you work labour-only?
We can do both. We’re happy to supply or work with your materials – whatever suits the job and your budget.
